Cattery - how we live

white Christmas in Bremen

Breeding started by "accident". I had a meeting with some people in Hamburg and we regarded the kitten of the lady, in whose flat the meeting took place. Momme chose me - and I decided to take him. But as I'm working quite a lot I was looking fo a companion for him. First I was looking for a male cat, but then I had a better feeling to a female - Smedjebacken's Abalone from Sylvia Helmers. She is from Sylvia's  first litter. So we got to know each other. When Abby was grown up I thought it might be nice just to "try" one litter. Nils and Nina were born. The relationsship to them got very close - so I didn't succed in selling them - although there have been persons that wanted to buy them.

In this nice house in Bremen, Germany there is place enough for all of us. You can see that the main living room has a big cat-climbing tree and the "winter-garden" is a place, where most of the cats have their meal and there is place for some litter-boxes.

Sometimes it is nessecary to separate male and female cats - so some of them live in other parts of the flat. And I'm going to built a cat-run in the garden - and a nice outdoor place for the cats - especially the males.

We  have about one or two litters a year.
